Passion Project?The focus goal of this project is to pursue a subject of interest by engaging in research, and presenting a product to the class as evidence of learning.
This will take place one or two days each week the last quarter of the year. We are calling it "Passion Project". This is a choice, not a requirement. If a child chooses NOT to participate, this hour will be spent mastering a core skill or skills. Here's how Passion Project works...students first come up with a question to guide their learning. Then they fill out a learning contract and meet with me to discuss support needed to make the project successful. This might include recruiting help from others and gathering resources to be able to facilitate the different projects. Once the project is complete, students must have a product (evidence) to show the class what was learned and present their project to the class.
